so fun last night at @Santa Monica City Hall!!! We had a great turn out and it was so much fun meeting everyone interested in public edible landscaping, public fruit trees, and public communal gardens!! incredible conversation <3 MIG's Jennifer Zell and David Allen Burns of Fallen Fruit will present a talk with Amber Richane on June 30, at the next U.S. Green Building Council Los Angeles Chapter Westside event about growing food for sharing in the public realm. Two MIG projects, Santa Monica City Hall East and Stoneview Nature Center (with Fallen Fruit), demonstrate how public landscapes can be a catalyst for productive harvests grown in the places where we live, work, and play.
