a little mood board for this book bc I loved it sm This book felt like waking up from a deep sleep in the middle of a rainstorm. Slow, ethereal, and a little disorienting. Through the narrator, we find that the world is something to be experienced in its fullness. It honestly felt like listening to a Lana Del Rey song. The frequent references to nature and art through the lens of a narrator who feels they’ve never known true love. The sleepy frustration of wanting to appreciate the world in spite of your own suffering within it. It’s short but packed with emotion. Can’t wait to reread this one on a rainy night
