I went down to the tunnel to prepare for on-field postgame interviews in the 8th of a scoreless game. Both sides kept throwing up zeros until Jeremy Peña led off the 18th with a home run. Game time was 6 hours and 22 minutes, 8 different pitchers were masterful and the Astros advanced to the ALCS for the sixth (!!!) consecutive season. That game is now tied for the longest playoff game in Major League history, including Game 4 of the 2005 NLDS, which Chris Burke capped with a walk-off homer for the Astros against the Braves. Y’all knew that.
