“Laws to Live by, Laws to Eat Off” I am releasing two brand new works in an attempt to offer a more affordable introduction onto the art ladder. We can’t buy a house can we? So why not invest in some art. I’ve produced a limited run of two unique screen prints, titled Laws to Live by, Laws to Eat Off. Released this Friday 8th July, “THIS TIME NEXT YEAR” and “WHERE THERE’S MUCK” come in the form of 30 x 25 cm gingham linen, hand screen printed by me. Edition of 15 of both designs. Available to buy from corbinshaw.com at 6:00 pm (BST) on Friday 8th July 2022. ‘Straight off the back of his exhibition at London’s OOF Gallery with British Photography legend Martin Parr as well as his ongoing exhibition at London’s Design Museum ‘Designing the Beautiful Game’. These are the first works Corbin is releasing since his exciting decision to work independently from a gallery.’ The messages written on these prints were taken from mugs that I would see when visiting my Dad’s firm. I have taken these laws to live by and printed them onto a fabric synonymous with the table cloth that would be at the local workers caf where people like my Dad would sit and say these words.
