@somosloud (Latino Outreach and Understanding Division) (LOUD) is a volunteer-driven event marketing social organization powered by AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF). LOUD works to build healthier and more empowered Latinx communities by educating, motivating, and advocating for Latinos across the United States. About a month ago I stepped up to Marketing Director Role for the LA Chapter and was excited to bring some new ideas to the group. I love to support QPOC in the arts, fashion, and music. When @eric_solis approached me with his idea for Nuestre Puente, I saw this as a great opportunity to sponsor an event while also educating our community regarding HIV and getting tested . I met Eric through @anitaherrera_ Family Party in Mexico City, where a lot of us in LA have started to collaborate and support each other. It’s beautiful to see what has flourished from that one night in Mexico. This was my first event with @somosloud and I was super nervous, but while attending both nights my heart was filled with so much gratitude. Seeing our community, friends, and family come out and support was amazing. These events have really inspired me and motivated me to do more so stay tuned.
