I don’t think the thoughts and prayers are gonna cut it anymore. We need action now! They were babies with whole lives ahead of them. I can’t even allow myself to try and understand the pain these parents are waking up with or the anxiety that every parent feels sending their little ones off to school today. This has to stop. Just a couple months ago I was at a restaurant eating lunch when a armed robbery took place resulting in a shooting. Gun violence is so normalized that people went back to eating after the police cleared the scene. I still feel my heart drop when there is a loud noise in public and everywhere I go I look for people who might be a threat or where I will run and hide the same way I did that day. No one should have to think this way, certainly not children. Please act with your vote. We need really policy change NOW!
