A year ago today, I was learning to tend to Castillionaise horses on a charming plateau in the Pyrénées mountains. Zeli, a very lucky ten year old local girl, would come for similar training, learning to guide Victor the stallion through the thick and wild forest. It was a magical time getting to accompany Zeli on her lessons. Seeing them together reminds me of Artax and Atreyu in the Never Ending Story. #the35mmdiary
