Mkubwa is finally starting to grow into his name! (It means 'big' in Swahili) Mkubwa was just a few days old when he was abandoned outside Manyani Prison. He may have had a lonely start to life, but now is part of a loving family at our Kaluku Field Headquarters. Keepers like Jackson (pictured here) have their hands full with our ever-expanding orphan herd, which includes Mkubwa, Kwale the hartebeest, Susu the eland, Sawa Sawa the kudu, Scooter and Sprite the warthogs, Apollo the rhino, and others.
