I struggle to share projects, but this one I’m very excited about. I’m in my Japanese “hometown.” For the @aichitriennale. With support from the city of tokoname, the triennial, @dorchester_industries and friends, we been able to restore this vacant house that was once the home of a local ceramic manufacturer and convert it into the listening house and site for exhibition and performance. The space houses a series of works, the Marva Jolly album collection and ceramic wares by Mr. Hirano, an important ceramic artist living here in tokoname and @ohara__koichi_ , a dear friend who has made his work available so that we can share refreshments out of the heat. It has been a transformation supported by @kenichi_archi, @tadd_cowen and a host of other amazing allies. There’s too much to try to say, but I’ll start here.
