My very quick Barbados story: My first passport stamp was Barbados, where my girls and I took a trip nearly 25 years ago to this very week. But unbeknownst to our very American group (our collective roots were Texas, Virginia, Delaware and D.C.) we had no idea we had landed on the island during Crop Over. We had no clue what it was and why it was such a big deal. Fast forward to now, I’m back in Barbados with the fam and we plan on seeing the full Crop Over fete!
