In 1999, @teganandsara released Under Feet Like Ours. The debut album was made in the living room of their mother's house on ProTools, with a loan from their grandfather, a few milk crates, and a monitor. The acoustic leanings of the bedroom pop album caught the attention of Neil Young, and led to the duo's signing with his label Vapor Records. 23 years after the debut, Crybaby is the tenth release in the beloved indie-pop duo's catalog and marks their return to independent representation. Tegan and Sara continue their streak of strong melodic construction "to keep record of where we are at as adults and emotional human beings on the planet, you know, struggling and suffering, but also thriving, falling in love."
