When I welcomed @secretarypete to Oakland this morning, I knew he would see in practice exactly what @POTUS set forth with the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law in terms of making sure every single policy centers racial equity. Along with @libbyschaaf, @rideact & @oakdotgram, we toured major infrastructure projects in the district: Broadway bus lanes, pedestrian safety improvements, and removing 980 to advance equity and reconnect our community. We also spoke to Sec. Pete about our vision for TOWN for All, which will make Oakland’s waterfront accessible to all and deliver on badly needed infrastructure improvements.
