I went back to work at 4 weeks postpartum.
If you’re worried about going back to work very soon after giving birth, let me tell you that it is possible. With a little open mindedness on your employers part and a lot of love and faith.
There is so much expectation and stigma around women/mothers/childbirth that all of the opinions and advice can be deafening at times. At the end of the day, whatever works for YOU goes. Just as we are all unique human beings, so to we are all unique mothers ❤️
I had a lot of help. It takes a village. Thank you to @christiancooke1 for trusting that all would work out as it was meant to, to @marnieis for your constant calm and cortisol dodging on my behalf, to @francesdarvellmakeup and @danadeganmua for making me up around all of my feeding positions and for showing my baby such love, to @oli_hill_ for protecting me as I expressed in the wildest of locations and for following my lead when I begged you to keep it on the QT 😉 to @sara_huxley and @april_kelley for creating an environment so conducive to being a brand new, breastfeeding mama on set you would think it was done every day.
To my loves incredible mother who held my baby all day every day for weeks and timed her bottle feeds so well that I could breastfeed between scenes.
And to the dream of all dreams that is Holly Elmes. Thank you for your cocoon of love and care and calm ❤️
You are INCREDIBLE
Be the change you want to see 🎥 👶🏻 #embers
