"The decision to opt for celluloid was an easy if not simple one. Being based in Malaysian Borneo where no labs have ever existed means the process to shoot film is rather complicated. Thankfully Kodak were extremely forthcoming and made it as painless as possible allowing myself and the director to dig into the creative. ⠀ Shooting all the non-dream sequences on 16mm 500T gave us the beautiful imperfection we were after and an intimate and organic connection to our struggling protagonist.
