I made a mural 🥹💗 Thank you @friendsofkensingtonmarket for including me in “A Future without Oppresison” This is what I hope for. As a Black woman, I want to feel secure internally and externally. Internally, I want to remove internalized anti blackness in order to love my hair as it is. The disgusting feeling of insecurity stems from trauma but I aim to release that. Externally, I want to feel safe from hyper visibility and harassment in public spaces. I hope to ride the streetcar or subway knowing others will defend me, or that the threat of violence simply does not exist. I hope to ride peacefully.
