Thousands pass through Makeni Market each day. Along with going to schools and community centres we frequently attend the marketplace, a hotspot for agents and smugglers who traffic our women and girls. We walk through the marketplace speaking to women and girls, traders and customers discussing modern slavery and human trafficking and the dangers of travelling to South West Asia under the Kafala system.
