Hi folks! As we all know, PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) can reduce your chance of getting HIV from sex or injection drug use. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV. Now there are three ways of taking PrEP: Truvada and Descovy (and their generics)are pill forms of PrEP taken once day. Both medications are taken to prevent HIV. Apretude is an injectable form of PrEP. Injections are given by a healthcare provider 1 month apart for two months, and then once every other month.
