And then after, using her platform to recruit women and minorities into the space program. During my very short appearance as Ensign Kelly on @startrek and especially as #QuellcristFalconer on #AlteredCarbon, I understood the power of my presence in those intergalactic spaces because I had felt hers when I was a child. Reading about her now, I find new inspiration in the ways she continued to use her platform after leaving the spotlight. It’s more than the roles we play, it’s what we do with the platform that matters most. #RIPNichelleNichols and thank you for your shining example.
