3 CLIENT RED FLAGS YOU SHOULD KNOW AS A SERVICE PROVIDER PART 2✨ 1. BAD COMMUNICATION- When working on a project with another party, communication is the number one thing that should be prioritized above everything else. Bad communication could result in misdirection, assumption, and resentment. Especially if it’s a longterm project, it may not be worth the hassle. This is why running a trial period is so so important. (Usually 2-4 weeks)! 2. NOT RESPECTING BOUNDARIES- Listen, working online has its perks, but boundaries is a never ending struggle for most freelancers. Obviously emergencies will happen where clients will need to reach you outside of work hours, and that’s okay! You want to be available but also live your life! But if they choose to not respect your boundaries when you have set them, that is not okay. 3. REFUSING TO SCHEDULE AN ONBOARDING CALL- If a client ever refuses to meet with me before beginning a project, I will usually not even bother moving forward. This is because onboarding calls are where you determine the details of the project that are crucial for success and if the partnership is even a good fit.
