my daddy da, the dream weaver, the photo taker, the smile maker, the morning saxophone waker, the stone creator that can transform any material into an oasis and bend any bed of nails into a twist of fate with that sleight of hand. i recently read a line in a book by milan kundera called ‘the unbearable lightness of being’ that reminded me of us: ‘we walk along in silence without hearing the silence.’ you’re the only one who can hear life and music in the silence the same way i can. that’s the reason i know it’s going to be okay, despite all my fear and sadness that says otherwise. our souls live together in the energy field. i can’t imagine this life without you, i truly can’t. your big warm hands have always been here, holding me and showing me how to carve the world into a creation like you do so well. but it helps to know we will always be together in the only place that really matters, in that beautiful silence. rest in that peace and i’ll be seeing you there.
