Next week, San Francisco's @weplayers come to BBG with their work "Mother Lear," a poignant study in mother-daughter dynamics, aging, and love. Written and performed by Ava Roy and Courtney Walsh, Mother Lear centers on an irascible middle-aged scholar with dementia who communicates with her caretaker daughter using only the text of King Lear. Each 50-minute performance is followed by a facilitated discussion with the audience. Limited tickets are still available at bbg.org/events or the link in our bio. Mother Lear performances run August 24–28 in BBG's Children's Garden Pavilion.
