In 2014 @eriktorstensson and l started an ongoing project to turn a tired Grade 2 listed former rectory in one of the most beautiful spots in Wiltshire into our dream escape for friends and family. We first visited the house with @Erdem and @pjosephstudio and imagined how the house could be updated and restored - Erdem pictured the dresses and parties and Philip imagined French doors where there were none. Even though the house was dark, damp and riddled with a leaking roof, flooding basement and a confusing layout, @pjosephstudio who had just started his own architectural design firm unlocked the house’s potential and led the transformation starting with the cottage and then main house giving us reimagined spaces - filled with light, a rational and open floorplan, tactile furniture in a sophisticated palette of colours and rooms for every mood and time of day that would become the stage for many magical music and fun filled weekends. @miranda.brooks.gardens over the course of 5 years literally transformed a boggy lawn into the most beautiful of landscapes - giving us as many outdoor rooms as we have indoors.
