FAMOUS DOESN’T MAKE YOU GREAT, BUT GREAT CAN MAKE YOU FAMOUS. Most people focus on the wrong thing. In a world where you can go viral by doing a dance, pulling a prank, or doing something stupid, people believe, this is how they will find success. People hold so much value in “going viral”, and celebrate it as if they just won the Super-Bowl. But, these people fail to understand how much preparation goes into winning a Super-bowl. Anyone can say something funny and make a room laugh, but that doesn’t mean they are a comedian and can stand on stage for a half an hour and make everyone laugh. The thing is, people chase the fame, instead of chasing greatness. This generation equates fame with being great. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve seen become momentarily popular, think they are the sh!t, and then fall off. They weren’t prepared, they didn’t know how to sustain it, they didn’t think about how to be great. Think about how many people went viral for a week, and you don’t hear of them anymore. Now think about the greats that stand the test of time. Whether it’s Tom Brady, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Oprah, or Steve Jobs. They didn’t focus on being famous. They became famous by focusing on being GREAT! Fame fades. Great is celebrated, even after you’re gone. Not everyone understands what it takes to be great. The traits necessary to succeed. The ability to win and repeat is built from greatness.
