In May, we brought back @sowhatmusicfest. It was the single biggest and most overwhelming undertaking myself and my team have ever done, but we did it. Blood, sweat, tears was not a figurative, but a literal description of what this was like. I have never worked so hard, for so long, on a single event in my life. It was a challenge and we rose to the occasion. It was not easy and it was not the “home run” we were aiming for, but to us, to the fans, and to the artists it truly was remarkable. People don’t understand what goes into these events until they’re a part of it behind the scenes, it’s easy to look in from the outside and assume things are smooth or assume that something is a massive success, but the reality of music festivals in 2022, is that everything is a challenge. To me, this festival was the greatest accomplishment of my career. The doors it has opened are wild and the statement we were able to make means everything to me. To me, this festival is day one, the first stepping stone on a new path to a bigger career and a brighter future. I’m moving forward with my best friend / business partner and ready to take every lesson we learned and put on the best festivals for the next 10-20 years. I’m so thankful for every single person that was involved in this event and I’m excited to get to work on 2023. Thank you @zachxburns for this video and reigniting the fire inside me.
