Yes, it’s #coastermonday!!! You heard it right - not #medalmonday but #coastermonday thanks to the @richardburton10k where you get a lovely slate coaster instead of a medal, and a Welsh cake 🥰 This is a truly awesome race - a proper community feel in Cwmavon where it seems the whole place comes out to cheer. Prior to the race we got absolutely utterly utterly drenched 🌧️☔️⛈️whilst waiting for the loos but we somehow managed to get a team pic done and by the time we got in the starting pen it was completely dry - and stayed like it for the whole race. In fact it was perfect race conditions. 🌈 The 10k course is in basic terms 3 miles of up ⬆️ and 3 miles of mostly down. ⬇️ It’s been 7 years since I’ve done it and I was chuffed to come away with a decent course pb of 47.48. I paced the hills nicely and absolutely loved the final 200 metres which was like a chicane into the finish. The scenery was stunning. Such a buzz. Thanks to all the organisers and volunteers 😍 It was fab to see so many running friends like @chrispratt24 and get to meet insta mates for the first time like @ethanruns_wales and @_therunningmanc Danny - and many more. A load of us @motialbany crew headed over @mundobars and had an AMAZING Sunday lunch. Highly recommend this place. Well done to my @motialbany crew today and to everyone who ran.
