This month is black history month. As a result, we have taken some time to amplify black history as written by black women. According to research, only 0.5% of recorded history is about women’s stories. Perhaps of that minuscule percentage, black women are in the minority. It is therefore important that we amplify the bits of history we have today that were written by black women from their perspective. Here is a non-exhaustive list of 30 books on black history and experiences by black female writers.
