Wanna hire an assistant but not sure where to start? I always start them with the basics. Washing, brushing, blow drying, curling. As they master those things I add more responsibilities. You have to remember they don’t know how you do anything until you show them. It’s also overwhelming at first, so I like to start slow. Then they move on to pulling foils, toning hair, applying root color, removing extensions, coloring extensions and booking clients. Foiling the back is something they take on once they are fully trained and taking their own clients.
