One of my favorite 2022 moments is going on my first trek, 2 days after I was convinced I might not be able to walk again. I strained my quad muscles from indoor cycling and it hurt so much I genuinely thought I would have to cut my leg off 😂 All I needed was a few days of rest and a counter irritant ointment. I don’t take oral pain relievers so I just sat there in pain for a week. The way our bodies can heal and recover by itself through rest, nourishment and patience is wild. As soon as I started to feel better and learn that I will be able to walk normally again soon, our friend, Zab, told the group chat she was going on a hike with her gym buddies. All 3 of us said yes last minute to join their group and it was so much better than anything we could’ve imagined. I’m definitely going back next year!
