I’ve seen flyers like these in every neighborhood I lived in. The way folks communicate with each other on telephone poles, bus stops, light poles, & vacant walls. The commitment to distribute far and wide. A call out for anyone wanting to have fun for a few hours. A celebration. It was such an honor to post these names all around Los Angeles. These amazing Black Queer artists who have so much to share and do so everyday just in their existing. I’m excited to celebrate them. Tonight is opening night, where you’ll get to hear from these artists and view some of their amazing work. Tomorrow, they move.
