calling all graduating seniors of the class of 2023 that identify with Black, African-American, and/or of the Afro-diaspora to participate and be highlighted in my independent study, The Black Graduate Project. The Black Graduate Project is a photo-ethnographic archival project developed to understand the social impact and illuminate the graduates of the class of 2023 aka “The Bounce Back” class. We’ve spent the majority of our college career as hostages to quarantine, as social activists within our communities, as hybrid learners, and overall as students who thought that pursuing higher education was going to be as normal as they kept telling us. However, with COVID- 19 cutting our spring short, that was not the case. it’s pivotal that we all recognize the historians within ourselves and ensure that we document the weird times we're in and continue to be in.
