A bison sprints across a field in Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. They say if a bison tail is up it is either charging or discharging. Clearly this bison is charging, but good us the bison isn't charging in our direction.
More people are injured by bison in the Greater Yellowstone area than any other species of animal. This is most likely because people don't understand the harm that these large animals can inflict if people get too close.
