Got terrible news earlier today that BREEWAY had lost another brother. Chris Wells was all heart. I'll never forget the night that he passed out cold in the middle of street from heat exhaustion on the way to David McAtee's place. It must have been after 1 am by this time and the group had already marched heavy miles for Breonna Taylor earlier on the super humid day. It looked like he was going to need a medical escort out of there but miraculously, after getting some water and a little attention, he hopped back up, grabbed his megaphone and rallied everyone by pounding his chest and screaming Breonna's name. He was a huge part of the inspiration and passion of that one of a kind group. This movement has taken so much out of the everyone and just shortly after the federal charges were announced against the officers involved in Breonna's murder, Louisville is grieving the loss of the Iceman. This is devastating. Chris' three children, Christie, Cheyanne and Chris Jr. will carry on the legacy of one of BREEWAY'S finest. I raise my glass to you, brother. You will forever be in my heart.
