I used to think that the selfie was an attempt to seek attention, and while it may be, I would always avoid them so that attention seeking wouldn’t be my calling card and also because I really didn’t like the person I was in the mirror. The man in the mirror has evolved from the boy in that same mirror and I’m happy to announce that although I will never fully arrive, I also have plenty I am learning and changing and loving. Living a life full of self love and also living one with full knowledge that I will always be ridden and rife with mistake and calamity. And that it is still all okay. Everything happens in its own time and I am glad that I can start to face the man in the mirror and change the ways of that man and also love him in the whole damn process.
