It’s not just some music festival in the desert. It’s not for the weak or the faint of heart. It’s not a place that people go to get messed up and lose themselves. It’s a place where you find yourself. Finding the strongest, most weirdly free version of you. Yes- also the smelliest, dustiest, and dirtiest. I explored like a kid. I danced till my feet were sore. I screamed until my voice gave out. I wore funky outfits (funkier than my everyday). I was swept up by the dust and I trudged through the mud. I helped build and rebuild a camp. I witnessed some of the most amazing inventions come alive with flames. I gazed at lasers dancing with stars in the night sky. I did barrel rolls for breakfast in a two seater plane. I watched talented people preform with fire and rings. I made new friends whose homes are scattered around the world. I attended a playa wedding between two of the most kind humans. I bathed with baby wipes and a dream. I sat surrounded every evening by a dusty mirage sunset. I listened to a range of music from the softest sweetest symphonies to deep beefy bass beats. I journeyed through a city built from the ground up within days. I was at the mercy of a desert and its conditions. Jaw on the ground- I dove head first into this completely new world that I was now apart of- and I loved every minute of it. Deepest parts of my heart were touched and nurtured. I healed things I didn’t know needed healing. I found parts of myself I didn’t know I had. I deepened connections that brought me closer to people that I love. This wild, unhinged, child-like eagerness to see, create and be apart of this beautiful experience. It was gorgeous to be vulnerable. I fully immersed while relinquishing any expectations or predispositions I had prior to making it out on playa. I made the desert my home for 2 weeks. Challenging, stimulating, demanding, surprising, vibrant, spiritual, cheerful 2 weeks. I burrrnnnnned, baby. I found pure joy in the desert. #burningman2025 #burningman
