“Cancer - you won’t break my soul” @cancerincommon So glad I made this event even though it was a fly by visit - that I nearly didn’t make. Gutted I couldn’t dance more - so many people I wanted to chat to and meet... but definitely next time! A huge Thankyou to Chloe for organising such a fantastic event all in her own time, that benefited so many afflicted by all types of cancer. Also a huge well done to those venturing solo and getting there, for some in the midst of treatment and for others, an anxiety fuelling first time - it is unbelievably nerve wrecking, I know! No one wants to be part of this club, but it is so important for many to feel part of a community, to belong, to have a safe space and to just be. To meet people in real life, with whom you form attachments with online is quite extraordinary and the event for me saw a few tears in as it is so overwhelming feeling the love and shared experiences in the room, at a time of year when cancer really does weigh heavy on my mind. It was great to see stalls of support from a variety of people such as the fabulous Kaz @wigsforheros @macmillancancer @beautydespitecancer And the atmosphere was electric. I tell you what there was a lot of soul in that room. A LOT. Just utterly ❤️❤️❤️ And Ps.
