Indigenous Peoples Day is a day for celebration, reflection, education and so much more. ✊🏽 Yesterday we took in some amazing content from Indigenous creators and organizations and here are some of our favourites! 1 – @amrpodcast First up is the All My Relations Podcast who created this graphic with @artbyciara. Their episode 'Celebrate Indigenous Peoples, Not Columbus' addresses myths around Christopher Columbus. 2 – @indigenousvisionmedia What can you do to support Indigenous people? Indigenous Vision Music put together a great post with different suggestions. 3 – @thekuproject The KŪ Project acknowledged that Indigenous Peoples Day isn't a celebration for everyone. It can be a difficult day for Indigenous folks, and they provided some love and validation for Indigenous people. 4 – @illuminative It's important for non-Indigenous people to walk alongside Indigenous folks in support. Illuminative put together a great guide on how to be an advocate. 5 – @seedingsovereignty Seeding Sovereignty put together an excellent list of books from Indigenous authors.
