I’m actually drawn past the baubles in this pic to the wood of the banister, which I paid a small fortune to have sanded and restored a few years back - it’s immaculate in this 2 year old pic, it’s a total mess again now. SWIZZ! Unsure if it was crap workmanship or the brutes in my family being heavy handed. To be fair, Polly’s usual method of descending the stairs is by sliding down the banister.
