Took a little trip back to Kansas City this weekend and dug into a few of my 45 boxes in storage. Pulled out a nice pile of HEAVY original press KC rares! Here are just a few of my favorites. Some of the best Funk, Soul, R&B, Garage Rock, and Proto-Punk to ever come out of the KC Area. The Kingz English, Argons, and Aftermath 45s are IGNORANT! I still think my copy of I’ll Go Crazy was Tony Ashley’s personal copy. Never thought I’d ever find a copy of Super Black! Trinikas is one of the most beautiful records ever recorded in Kansas City. I’ll Walk A Mile is STILL my favorite KC 45 tho! 😎
