Shared today is “Hearing Voices", the first single which “explores the relationship between our conditions of living and working and how we process or fail to process them” - “how work can sever our connection to intuition”. - Available on 12” vinyl and digital platforms - Lyric book containing all lyrics from the record alongside exclusive additional images shot by @gabemorivera; designed by Brian O'Tuama (@bot_man_) (available both separately and as part of a bundle with the 12” vinyl) @Ccontourr has consistently inspired and amazed us on so many occasions throughout the past five years. With ‘Onwards!’, Khari has built a world so vivid that we’ve found ourselves returning to it time and time again for sonic healing and nourishment. His writing is remarkably expressive and lived in. This feels like his most accomplished work to date; a synthesis of sample-based songs produced alongside @swarvy and @104ROG. Meeting Gabriel Rivera — the man behind the beautiful photography across the record — felt predestined. @AlexRitaa and Gabe connected in 2021 when he made it known that he was a regular @CalmRoots (NTS Radio) listener. So when Contour shared his vision for the artwork, Alex felt that Gabe’s superior observational eye was the perfect match. In Spring 2022, Contour flew out to meet Gabe in his Brooklyn apartment. They did the shoot and created stardust; lots of it. The front cover you see is just one handful of it, but it shines; immeasurably. Thank you to everyone that has contributed to the making of this project. A lot of time, attention and intention has gone into it from multiple sides and the result is, in our opinion, golden.
