So humbled to be honored by the @herbalpertaward today, an award I’ve been watching since I was grad student at CalArts. As an award that celebrates “risk-taking artists”, it feels like an affirming nudge, permission to “kick the bone out of the American theatre” (as my grad school mentor, Doug Kearney, put it). Very grateful to the many who’ve helped me to make noise. Here’s to more and more.
