I’m not really good at talking about feelings (cause ew) but what’s happening in Iran right now is heartbreaking. We’re witnessing a revolution against an oppressive regime that has ruined the country for the past 43 years. So many women have been killed since the death of Mahsa Amini and the government trapped and killed students of Sharif University for voicing that they want change. A change of basic human rights. The Iranian government has been shutting down cellphone and internet access across the country. I stand with the people of Iran in this revolution and I hope that the big news outlets, my friends, and colleagues, that have all been silent these past two weeks start talking about it. Posting about Iran makes a difference and it makes the people putting their lives at risk feel less alone and shows we care. The single most important thing we can do right now is to drive awareness to what’s happening. Amplify the voices of Iranian women. The country is trying to silence them with the Internet blackout and by killing them. We will remember those who supported this revolution and we will remember those who were silent. 🇮🇷❤️ if you’d like to donate you can donate to the center of human rights in iran https://iranhumanrights.org #mahsaamini #iran #iranprotests #iranianwomen
