Nanjiani stars as Somen Banerjee, the real-life founder of the exotic dance troupe whose pursuit of the American dream is corrupted by his own success. The limited series depicts Banerjee’s rise—as well as his cold, eventually deadly rivalry with Nick De Noia (#TheWhiteLotus’s Murray Bartlett), the Emmy-winning choreographer who came to define the Chippendales act. “He had so many moments where he could have taken the right road and he didn't,” Nanjiani says of Banerjee. “There are five different forks and each time, each crossroad, he took the exact wrong path.” See more at the link in our bio.
