2024 was a year of friendship—then a little more with one best friend. ❤️ Most of my Instagrams are just of me wearing #ootd clothes, but the real story of these 12 months is all the people I dressed up for and made memories with. I had the privilege of going to so many cool events this year with amazing people. I got to see @laurpuckett kill it as she moderated an author talk. I took my dad @dougthetruebug to a Yankees game where he rooted for the Orioles. @daniellendiferdinando and I had countless adventures and even got to give one of my guy friends a makeover! @bishplsok and I did two Halloween costumes together this year (Fairly Oddparents was our best one, but we also cosplayed Final Fantasy’s Cloud and Aerith for Comic Con). I got to cultivate a lot of new friendships, including mine with @viennavernose, and maintained many 10+ year friendships too (@whoanowitscarly and LA are two of them). One of my oldest friends, @rahelbog, was my plus one to Danielle’s wedding, where we met @xoxoracxoxo. And of course, after over a year of talking every day, I welcomed my French pen pal Thomas to New York City, and we realized quickly that this isn’t just friendship; it’s deep, romantic love, too. And I’m so grateful for that, that we were best friends first and added to it. Love is the force behind all of these relationships. There’s so many more friends that I can’t fit into a 10-slide gallery, but I hope they know how cherished they are. I try to tell them all the time. I watched It’s A Wonderful Life this holiday like so many other people. And I think a lot about its last quote: "Remember no man is a failure who has friends." My hope for everyone in 2025 is that we continue to find and cultivate deep connections with other people. Our friendships can quite literally be life-saving, but they also give life so much more meaning and color. I have seen few things as beautiful as a true friend.
