I got to go to the library of Congress National Book Festival in Washington, DC last week and we had a wonderful time meeting so many awesome people!! Derrick Barnes rocked! It was so much fun getting to hang with my brother and so many other amazing and talented people like, Jerrard Polk, up and coming fabulous illustrator, musician and storyteller as well as Kim Holt a wonderful illustrator and animator. We all got to hang out together and it was truly like having a family reunion. I am so grateful to all the wonderful people at the library of Congress who invited us to come and to share queen of kindergarten with the audience.
