This has to be one of the greatest honors in my life thus far. I was just elected as Vice President of ASLMS & will serve as President elect then President following that. ASLMS is the world’s leading society for the development & safety of lasers & energy-based devices. I first attended ASLMS 14 years ago where I gave my very first lecture. I remember walking into a room filled with at least 1000 people. It was so intimidating, but was great training because every lecture seemed so easy after that. It seems so surreal to come full circle and win the presidential election. I am truly humbled and grateful to serve a society that has played such a pivotal role in my career.
