And there’s a mission aligned to where their shells go afterward through the @crcl1988 recycling program. More than 50 restaurants and bars across the city and in Metairie will serve oysters for the debut of New Orleans OysterNight, which its creators hope will be a recurring celebration of Louisiana oyster culture. You’ll find raw and cooked, and one-night oyster bars set up at restaurants that don’t normally have them. The shells will be used to build oyster reefs, like the one taking shape today in Leeville through a local program, a big NFL Green Super Bowl boost and volunteers led by a group of military special ops veterans with @forceblueteam .
