The moment when beauty and destruction collide 🥺💔 This intense timelapse video of a massive pyrocumulus cloud—also known as a fire cloud—was captured at the Grand Canyon’s North Rim this week and was triggered by the intense heat of the Dragon Bravo Fire 🔥🌫 This natural phenomena forms when wildfire smoke is pushed high into the atmosphere, where cooler air causes water vapor to condense around it. In some cases, these clouds can generate lightning or even tornados—creating a weather system of their own. The Dragon Bravo Fire, sparked by lightning on July 4, has now burned over 105,000 acres and is only 4% contained, making it the largest active wildfire in the nation. Firefighters at the Grand Canyon are facing extreme heat, high winds, and rugged terrain as they try to contain the blaze. Sadly, the historic Grand Canyon Lodge has already been lost. If you're in the area, please stay safe—wildfire smoke can pose serious health risks. 🎥 Time-lapse video by Cliff Berger #WelcomeToArizona #DragonBravoFire #GrandCanyonFire #PyrocumulusCloud #FireCloud #ArizonaWildfire #GrandCanyon
