One of WGSN Interiors’ CMF trends for 2022 and beyond, speckled and tinted transparencies will continue across decorative accessories. Designers and brands are infusing patterns into glass, creating mesmerising, fantastical confetti and swirl optics.
First up is Henry Holland Studio (UK) from former fashion designer Henry Holland, who discovered his love of ceramics during the pandemic. Following the success of his ceramics line, he has launched a glassware collection that pairs fluid marble swirls and speckles with organic shapes and strong colour contrasts, tapping into a contemporary Murano-style aesthetic.
London-based Studio Sahil incorporates Icelandic sand into a decanter design, leading to a softly sprinkled yet transparent look. Based on the handmade process used to create the vessels, the result is unique, minimalist statement pieces.
Scandinavian brand Anna Von Lipa produces high-end Bohemian glassware collections, bringing an array of different surface trends to the fore. Its vase features a bold confetti look, showcasing large sprinkles in digital pastel shades, infusing the piece with a candy inspired colour palette.
