@necaofficial just announced this sweet 12” Billy on tricycle. The nerd/collector in me can’t wait for this to drop! Side trivia — I built and cobbled Billy the puppet together out of popsicle sticks and ping pong balls, in my small apartment in Melbourne, Australia, for the #SAW short film which we were going to use to pitch the script. When we eventually got the feature off the ground, I thought we were going to have some cool, fancy Hollywood animatronic puppet. But nope. It was such a low budget feature, the producers just told us to reuse the one I made. And that’s what is in the actual movie. I never for the life of me thought this puppet would go on to become such a pop icon. Leigh and I always joked that Billy was way more famous than us! 😄
