About 3 weeks ago I started riding my bicycle across the United States 🚴 🇺🇸. My plan is to bike starting in Minnesota to California with @matt_lynne The whole trip is going to be about 2,000 miles and we’re a little over 1,000 miles in already! I’ve been wanting to bike across the country for a few years now, just never wanted to do it alone...luckily I found someone crazy enough to join me lol Matt and I originally planned on purchasing really nice bikes for this trip...but due to the pandemic it made it almost impossible to find any nice, new bikes for sale.... So I just ended up using a cheap $280 bike I found out in my shed 🤣 I’ve been wanting to do this trip so bad that I told Matt that if someone offered me $10k to NOT do the the trip, I would decline the offer..... and after the first week on this trip I was starting to take back those words I said...the first week was difficult 😅....But after the 2nd and 3rd week I wouldn’t trade it for that $10k or even $20k. It’s been a fun adventure and it’s actually been pretty enjoyable and very scenic after getting through South Dakota. I can definitely see me doing another long bike tour in the future. @chrisburkard’s bike trip around Iceland looked pretty epic 😉 Also shoutouts to @jackeryusa for hooking me up with their solar products. Our plan with this entire trip was to “rough it” as much as possible and not stay in any hotels. So having a solar panel to charge all of our electronics at the end of the day made it possible.
